Saki Paatsama (1918–1998) was the Professor of Surgery in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine 1964–1982 in orthopedics. Paatsama was the Honorary Chair of The Finnish Kennel Club and he was presented with the Golden Badge of Merit in 1972. Paatsama had the central role creating the higher education in veterinary medicine in Finland. He was awarded with a Pro Cane Sano -medal for the job he did for improving dogs’ health.
