Catalog of the first dog show of Finnish Kennel Club

The first dog show of the Finnish Kennel Club was held in Helsinki on the 23rd-25th. May 1891. All dogs that participated in the show are listed in the catalog.

At the exhibition organized at the end of the 19th century, the breeds judged were, among others, the Finnish barking bird dog, various hounds, setters, German bird dog, foxhound and Skye terrier. There are many interesting names on the list, like for example, the Kennel Club’s founding member and chairman Daniel Johannes Wadén’s Finnish Spitz bitch Kairi. At that time, the breed was still called the Finnish barking bird dog.
