Kennelliitto

The bilingual Finska Kennelklubben – Suomen Kennelklubi, the precursor of the Finnish Kennel Club, was established May 11th 1889. The date can be considered as the starting point of organised kennel activities in Finland. The Finnish Kennel Club, officially named as Suomen Kennelliitto – Finska Kennelklubben. is the oldest kennel organization in the Nordic countries. Organised Finnish kennel activities were established at the initiative of active hunters and to serve the needs of hunting. Nowadays The Finnish Kennel Club is a nationwide expert organisation on all canine matters.
